PROJECT OVERVIEW Xerox hired IDEO to design their first public showroom, a 20,000 sq. ft. ground floor space located on Park Avenue in NYC. They wanted a venue to showcase their products, future technology, and their philosophy about documents and knowledge sharing in the workplace. An interactive 'video walk' of 8 LCD panels engages visitors outside of the showroom. Sensors trigger movies to play as people pass by the window. The movies are the first messages delivered to encourage visitors to think about documents in a new way. |

INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS An interactive exhibit area was created to showcase the technology in development at Xerox research labs around the world. We met with Xerox scientists to learn about these technologies and created interactive exhibits that visitors could use to experience them first-hand. |

PRODUCT DEMONSTRATION ROOMS Eight demonstration rooms were designed as tools for the sales staff. Not only did these rooms display products, but they allowed the sales team to call up video case studies, inform visitors about document technology through environmental graphics, and provide customers with hands-on access to the product. |
